Unintended Consequences
Hagley Fellows Conference
Saturday, April 4, 2009
Hagley Museum and Library
Wilmington, Delaware
On Saturday April 4, 2009, the Hagley Museum and Library will host "Unintended Consequences," a conference sponsored by the Hagley Fellows of the University of Delaware.
Seemingly rational actors make decisions, create institutions, shape environments, or develop technologies expecting certain outcomes, but things do not always go as planned. “Unintended Consequences” seeks to explore the enormous influence of these inevitable yet unexpected occurrences.
Edward Tenner will be delivering the keynote address. A schedule of presenters and additional details are available at http://www.hagley.org/library/consequence.html .
The conference is free but you must register before March 27th.
You can register online through the conference website or by contacting Carol Lockman in Hagley's Center for Business, Technology, and Society at 302-658-2400, ext. 243 or clockman@hagley.org.
