Subject: CEHA-MADEIRA- Islands Studies

renewal of the institution, with the ongoing changes in this year and in the framework of
the celebrations of 25 years of activity of the institution, it was for good pay this

intended to review the situation of studies since the eighties until the present moment,
and ask questions and guidelines on this and future research on the island universe.
Today, more than the relationship of the islands with the continent or the cities will

the mythic and fantastic islands, islands in fiction and literature, historiography,
geography, Ways and Methodologies: insular, identity, nissology.
