The Media, Communications and Cultural Studies Association Postgraduate Network invites submission of abstracts for its Annual Postgraduate Conference to be held on Wednesday 8th and Thursday 9th July 2009 at Bangor University, Wales.
The conference will have panels looking at film criticism, film practice, digital fiction, ludology (game studies), new media, online communities, theatre, creative writing, broadcasting, and performance. Presentations can take the form of papers, performances, readings, posters, films and multimedia.
Alongside the panels the conference will also include roundtable discussions which will be run by experts in their field (film production, publishing, etc.) and industry profesionals. The programme will also include a series of plenary lectures, including Dr. Astrid Ensslin (New Media, Bangor University), Dr. Mark Brownrigg (Film Studies, Stirling University) and Prof. Graeme Harper (Creative Writing, Bangor University).
The conference is organised by postgraduate students and it is designed for Masters and PhD students, as well as early career postdoctoral researchers.
Panel proposals with up to four papers are also welcome.

The abstract should include:
-Your name, contact details, institutional affiliation and year of study;
-Title and topic of research, including method(s) used;
-Up to five key words, which will help the reviewers classify your proposal;
-Technical requirements for the presentation.
