A discussion of Chaplin's life will be coupled with a screening of THE KID. This film was Chaplin's first feature-length masterpiece in which his screen character (The Little Tramo) finds, adopts and raises an abandoned infant. Chaplin set out to make this film ten days after the death of his first-born infant son.
