"Kultura i Polityka" (Culture and Politics) invites the submission of articles and research reports with a focus on the present position and possible future role for the humanities and university education for the fall 2009 issue. We encourage the submission of articles from scholars engaged in the debate on the idea of university education and research. We are also interested in articles that explore the role of legislation, technology and new curricula in the reform of the modern university in a national, European and international context. Potential contributors are invited to reflect on their university teaching experience, to share good practices, and reflect on the values and attitudes that should inform university education.
Articles may address, but need not be limited to, topics related to questions:
- changes of the idea of university in the last decade;
- educational systems in historical context;
- university of masters? - the problem of the disappearing authority in the modern Academy;
- great mentors – forgotten educators – addictive masters;
