The ABA is accepting proposals for a national law-related education leadership conference, to be held in Chicago later this year. The conference brings together teachers, professors, lawyers, judges, probation officers, social workers, child advocates, psychologists, civic organizers, and anyone else interested in law-related, or civic, education. Session proposals should offer tools to these professionals, evidence data of benefits of law-related and civic education, strengthen community partnerships, infuse traditional civic and law-related education models with new technologies, offer best practices, share new models for educating the citizenry in today's changing society, and encourage youth engagement.
Deadline for proposals is April 6, 2009. Please download the full call for proposals from the ABA Public Education website, http://www.abanet.org/publiced/lre2009.pdf.
