I am seeking additional submissions for a developing session entitled "Passivity and/as Agency: the Ambivalent Relationship between Feminism and Passivity in the West." The existing papers deal with queer femininity ("Femme as Figuration") and the collusion of feminist agency and action in the neo-liberal acceleration of capital. The session responds to our conference theme of "Agency and Action."
The SSHA meets November 12-15, 2009, in Long Beach, CA. If you are interested in contributing to such a session, please respond to me at mkryan@umn.edu by February 20.
