Do you have students ready to wander along cobblestone streets? Dying to eat dinner in surroundings that come straight out of Harry Potter? Eager for a substantive study abroad experience? The University of Massachusetts Oxford Summer Seminar has extended its deadline to the end of February and will *continue* to accept applications through March. (We will give class preferences, though, to people who apply by the end of this month.)
We have scholarships available for many students--not just those at UMass.
The Seminar, which lasts from July 4 - August 14, takes place at Trinity College. Available classes include Modern Irish Literature, Creative Writing, History of the English Language, Jane Austen, Romance Literature and Shakespeare, among others. These course are taught by a distinguished group of Oxford faculty, including Professor Ralph Hanna III (Keble College), Professor Simon Horobin (Magdalen College) and Professor Valentine Cunningham (Corpus Christi College). Students live and study in college, taking trips on the weekend to nearby sites or, for the more adventurous, to Paris, Dublin, and Prague.
