The Reign of the Kangxi Emperor conference will be held at the Asian Civilisations Museum on 21st March 2009, Saturday. Organised in conjunction with the museum’s major exhibition this year, The Kangxi Emperor: Treasures from the Forbidden City, this conference will focus on the life and reign of the emperor. Eminent scholars will speak on the Qing dynasty, material culture, religious beliefs and foreign policy during the Kangxi emperor’s reign.
