The Eighth Annual Critical Islamic Reflections Conference (CIR) will be held on April 11 at Yale University. The conference is organized by a cross-section of graduate and undergraduate students and aims to pursue critical academic scholarship on topics regarding Islam and Muslim society. Past programs have featured leading and emerging scholars in the American Islamic context, many of whom possess backgrounds in both traditional Islamic learning and Anglo-American academia. The Eighth Annual conference, "Community Leadership in American Islam," to be held on April 11 at Yale University, will examine the institutions and individual leaders of the American Muslim Community as well as the future of such leadership.
