We would like to bring together a panel on "East/West Visual Encounter in the Post-9/11 Era" at the 2009 annual meeting in Boston. Panelists who are interested in exploring the way Arabs and Muslims are visually represented in the post-9/11 US, and the images of the US in the Arab world would be most welcomed to send their abstracts of no more than 250 words please, by Feb. 5, 2009 marked 'MESA Proposal' to: alsultan@umich.edu or eaam@gwmail.gwu.edu
