Abstracts are invited for The Public in Law, an AHRC sponsored doctoral colloquium to be held at the University of Glasgow on 29-30 April 2009.
Abstracts are invited from doctoral students working in any area related to the public in law. This may include areas such as constitutional law, human rights, medical law, environmental law, corporate law, fi nance, international
law, criminal law, delict, globlalistion, development, terror and security.
Abstracts are also warmly invited from students working in politics, philosophy, and socio-legal theory.
The deadline for abstracts is Monday 2 February 2009.
Abstracts should be no more than 500 words in length. Ten presenters will be selected for the colloquium. Successful presenters will be informed of their acceptance by Friday 20 February 2009.

Funding has been obtained to contribute to the travel and accommodation costs of doctoral presenters. The colloquium will offer travel grants to all selected doctoral presenters, to assist with costs of attending the colloquium.
Registration for the colloquium is free for presenters and non-presenters alike.
The colloquium welcomes the participation of all interested postgraduates.
