Dear colleague
I am looking for some writers specialized on Dutch Caribbean History, exactly in two concretthemes:
- Economic History of the Dutch Antilles and Guianas, XIX and XX centuries.
- Political History on the Dutch Antilles and Guianas, XIX and XX.
This is to participate in a collective work that I am coordinating on non Hispanic Caribbean. It will be a book on the various linguistic sub regions of Dutch, French and English influence from the XV century until the present day. Different chapters will deal with different aspects such as society, population, economy and politics; a separate chapter will deal with art, literature, press and films.
Broadly speaking, this volume’s purpose is to present essays, whether historiographycal or summaries, on the various colonial histories. A further volume will deal with more specific matters from a comparative history perspective.
