Anthem’s ‘China in the 21st Century’ series presents a series of unique perspectives on the social, cultural and economic currents shaping the world’s newest superpower, from academic and professional authors with deep experience and long engagement with the region. Addressing diverse subjects, from the impact of the new rich elite, the health problems facing the social security system, and China's interactions with its Asian neighbours, the series provides fresh insight into this rapidly changing state. Recent and forthcoming titles include ‘Struggling Giant’ and ‘Friends and Enemies’ by Kerry Brown, and ‘Fat China’ by Paul French.
