In a broad context, inseparable from the relationship that unites or divides the theory of literature and history, sociology, anthropology, philosophy and translation, we invite you to explore the boundaries, intersections, mediations, exchanges or return of subjects, objects, concepts, texts and images. With that in mind, we hope to open up new lines of inquiry regarding what crosses over, what can or cannot be carried across, what must be expelled and what, simply put, remains.
Possible topics include, but are not limited to, reflections on politics and ethics, migration and trade, translation, autofiction or faction, commercial and linguistic exchanges, exchanges of material and human goods, journeys of exploration in, in-between (the liminal), and in returning to the geographical, cultural and disciplinary spaces already mentioned.
En un amplio marco, indisociable de la relación que une o separa la teoría de la literatura y la historiografía, la sociología, la antropología, la filosofía y la traductología, invitamos a explorar las delimitaciones, intersecciones, mediaciones, intercambios o retornos de sujetos, objetos, conceptos, textos e imágenes. Con esto en mente, esperamos abrir nuevas líneas de investigación con respecto a lo que se cruza, lo que puede o no trasladarse, lo que debe ser expulsado y lo que, sencillamente, permanece.
Surgen de este modo -la lista no está cerrada- posibles líneas de reflexión relativas a política y ética, movimientos migratorios y comercio, traducción, autoficción, procesos de intercambios comerciales y lingüísticos, intercambios de bienes materiales y humanos, viajes de exploración en, entre, y volviendo a los espacios geográficos, culturales y disciplinarios ya aludidos.
Num contexto mais vasto, inseparável da relação que une ou separa a teoria da literatura e a historiografia, a sociologia, a antropologia, a filosofia e/ou a tradução, convidamos a explorar as fronteiras, cruzamentos, mediações, trocas e retorno de sujeitos, objetos, conceitos, textos e imagens. Com isso em vista, esperamos abrir novas linhas de pesquisa sobre o que atravessa, o que pode ser ou não ser trasladado, o que é expulso e o que é acolhido.
Surgem, assim -a lista não está fechada- possíveis linhas de pensamento sobre política e ética, migração e comércio, tradução, autoficção, processos de trocas comerciais e lingüísticas, intercâmbios de bens materiais e humanos, viagens de exploração dentro, entre e de volta aos espaços geográficos, culturais e disciplinares já mencionados.
Presentations may be given in English, Portuguese, or Spanish and should not exceed twenty minutes (8-10 pages MLA style).
