The Medieval and Early Modern History Cohort, with a nucleus of Dr Barry Collett's former students, are planning a Festschrift for him in Melbourne in March 2009. All current and former students and colleagues are warmly invited to contribute.
Reflecting the nature of Dr Collett's teaching legacy and of the Cohort, there are no rigid thematic or historical parameters. All contributions must instead display rigorous questioning of intellectual fashions and a close, analytical interpretation of primary sources. Papers should not have been published or be intended for submission elsewhere, but may be developed from an unpublished thesis, seminar paper or essay.
Deadline for drafts (3-5000 words): February 23rd, 2009.
If you would like to contribute please email the editors (details given below) with your proposed topic to obtain style guidelines and further details.
