CFP's: A possible new book on the films of Mauritania's Abderrahmane Sissako. This will bring together scholarly work of several articles that discuss the various themes throughout his films. I am not seeking film reviews, but rather papers on in-depth issues of diaspora, use of technology, media, cultural studies, family, violence, history, death, life, music, and other inquiries related to film studies. Theoretically, any academic papers related to the works of Abderrahmane Sissako would be welcomed. This will be a reference book for African film students, college students, and general film buffs.
