Symposium: Scientific correspondences in the digital age

This symposium intends to explore the new research avenues opened − and the questions posed − by online editions of scientific correspondences. It will be the opportunity to discuss editorial practices, the possibility of common metadata, and to present researches either on a specific correspondence or on a series of contemporary correspondences. From individual projects to big editorial enterprises, from 17th to 20th centuries, from studies on an idiosyncratic author to social analysis of scientific networks on a multinational scale, online editions with their editorial tools may offer answers to old questions impossible to be taken up before.
