Dear colleagues,
We are glad to announce that the History of Physics Group of the European Physical Society is going to organize a thematic symposium under the title “Spectroscopy: Science and Society” during the International History of Science and Technology Congress which is going to be held in Budapest, July 28 – August 2, 2009.We invite anyone among you who is interested to present a paper at this symposium to send the title and a short abstract of his contribution to Dr. Peter Maria Schuster, President of HoP/EPS (peterschuster@eircom.net) as well as in copy to Dr. George N. Vlahakis, Secretary of HoP/EPS (gvlahakis@yahoo.com) until the 5th of December 2008.Please take into consideration that the proceedings of our HoP/EPS part of the symposium will be published by Living Edition.
