We are looking for one additional paper to be included on our proposed panel for the upcoming conference of the North American Society for Sport History (NASSH). The conference is in Asheville, North Carolina, May 22-25, 2009. Further information about the conference is available at:

The title of the proposed panel will be something like: “Sporting and the Development of Coastal Southern Florida.” The other two papers deal with sport fishing, hunting, and boating in southeastern and southwestern Florida in the late nineteenth century, respectively. We are seeking a paper that deals with Florida history and fits this general topic and time period. Please send your paper abstract and contact information to jhg4917@fsu.edu.
