The 62nd annual Pacific Northwest History Conference will be held in conjunction with the Northwest Oral History Association, Oregon Heritage Commission, and Northwest Archivists, as part of "Rendezvous 2009" on April 15 - 18 in Portland, Oregon. The 150th anniversary of Oregon statehood is the occasion and focus of the conference. Presentations on the history of native peoples, the competition for the Oregon Country, commemorative legacies, the tension between heritage and history, and related subjects are welcome.
