From DW Griffith's take on American history in Birth of a Nation to Steven Spielberg's version of the ‘50s and a ‘50s con artist in Catch Me If You Can, Hollywood has searched for "the story" in history, reorganizing the chronology of events to sell history on the Big Screen. How fictive is history on the Big Screen?
Proposals are being accepted for the Historical Fiction Area of the 2009 SWTX PCAACA Conference in Albuquerque at the Hyatt Regency downtown from Feb 25-28.
