The College of Education (Teacher Education Department) at the University of Oregon is currently seeking proposals for papers, discussion sessions, workshops, and symposia on all aspects that affect the educational and social experiences of English Learners (EL) and their communities for the 2009 University of Oregon Conference on Biliteracy. While the theme of the UO conference explores EL students and immigrant communities in new destinations, this conference seeks to explore a broad array of issues which affect the social, economic, political, and educational opportunities of these communities in multiple settings.
