This anthology will collect the best poetry and showcase it in a regular anthology. All poets of any level are welcome to submit and are encouraged to submit up to five poems for consideration in the anthology.
Page length: Poems should not exceed two pages in length, although longer poems may be considered. Poets are encouraged to submit up to five poems, as per the guidelines, but no more for any single anthology. Keep in mind that not all poems or poets will have their work published.
Diversion Press is pleased to announce its first poetry contest.
DEADLINE: December 15, 2008
Poets DO NOT have to buy the Anthology to be published or considered for publication; in fact, the winners will get a free copy in addition to their prize money. Those who do not win will be given the opportunity to purchase copies at a discounted rate. Please be assured that poems are chosen LONG before the book will be printed and there is NO requirement to purchase the work in order to be included. There is NO fee to enter.
Winners will also be announced on our web page and may also have their winning poems displayed.
Prizes: 1st: $20 2nd: $10 3rd: $5 Plus a free copy of the Anthology
We will not consider previously published poems. Please note that materials will not be returned. They will be shred and recycled. Please note that our Poetry Anthology is geared toward a wide readership and therefore we will not publish poetry that is offensive, sexually explicit, violent, or puts children in a bad light. We acquire first time world rights and re-print rights (only to re-print the same anthology as a paperback, hardback, or audiobook). All other rights revert back to the author 12 months following publication as outlined on our release form.
