The increasing interest in recent years in theories of visuality and materiality has become central to the discussion of the alterity of moving images throughout the genealogies of media. This conference sets out to explore perceptual modalities of future cinematic and digital forms of moving images. The subliminal dynamism of configuring vision and ways of seeing has transcended the "scene inside the screen" as well as the tripartite cinematic arrangement, the spatially induced perspectivism of seeing, which have already been extensively analyzed by apparatus theory. Regarding the transgressive art of moving images one is tempted to ask whether the expanded cinematic space constitutes a different form of reality.
