The Association Jeunes Etudes Indiennes (AJEI – Association of Young Indian Studies) has as its members students in social sciences, from the Master’s to the post-doctoral level, working on South Asia. Every year, the Association organizes workshops in India to give young researchers an opportunity to present papers on their research work which are later discussed by senior researchers.
The 2009 edition of AJEI Workshops will be held in Varanasi in collaboration with the Benaras Hindu University (BHU) when an Indo-French day will be devoted to the analysis public policies in India.
One day will be fully in english and the others in french, so abstracts of papers (approximately 300 words), could be both french or english and should be sent before 15 December 2008 to the following address: ateliers@ajei.org. Twenty minutes will be allotted for the presentation of each paper which will then be discussed by a specialist. The complete text (20,000 signs) should be sent by 30 January 2009.
