The Romanian Academy’s Institute of Social and Humanistic Research “C. S. Nicolaescu-Plopºor” from Craiova, together with the Spanish department of the Faculty of Letters from the University of Craiova are pleased to announce the organisation of the workshop
The Spanish Golden Century before and after Arte Nuevo de hacer comedias (The New Way of writing theatre): new approaches from a multidisciplinary perspective,
Which is to be held in Craiova between 7-9th of May 2009.

The History of the Golden Century
The Translation of the Texts from the Golden Century
The Teaching of the Texts form the Golden Century
Besides the thematic areas, five conferences will be held by consecrated hispanists. Until the present moment, prof. María Luisa Lobato (University of Burgos), prof. Ileana Scipione (University “Spiru Haret”, Bucharest) and prof. Gheorghe Constantinescu (University of Craiova) announced their participation as key speakers.
In order to participate, the potential participants should submit an abstract of about 35-40 lines. Further on, they will be announced if their paper proposal has been accepted.
The deadline for the submission of the abstracts is the 1st of March 2009.
