A virtual community of scholars located throughout Ireland, we provide information about Medieval and Renaissance specialists who are based in Ireland; enable scholars to interact with one another; and work to enhance contact and co-operation across institutional, disciplinary, and other divides. “Medieval and Renaissance” is intended in its most inclusive sense: Late Antique to Early Modern, in all parts of the world.
The site is also a centralised source for information about Medieval and Renaissance events and activities around Ireland (and major events further afield), Irish and international institutions and organizations, and other resources. It features a discussion forum and an e-journal (Oenach: JFMRSI and Oenach: The JFMRSI Reviews).
Membership is open to all who are engaged in teaching and research in Medieval and Renaissance Studies on the island of Ireland, and those living abroad who are in active association with universities and public and private bodies in Ireland.
