Hello Scholars;
I am a student and teaching assistant at Hofstra University seeking input on a thesis dealing with Italian-American stone cutters in the early part of the twentieth century. My presentation focuses on the establishment of Italian communities in and around the quarrying towns of New England.
If anyone has any background information on an Italian immigrant family living in Barre, Montpelier, or Proctor, Vermont at the turn of the century, or knows of a stone cutter, or family of a stone cutter from that era who would like to share their experiences in Lamerica, I would be happy to hear from you. I am working under the tutelage of Dr. Stanislao Pugliese at Hofstra, in his Seminar Class dealing with the Italian American Experience.
Thank you for your kind consideration...
