South Carolina Historical Association Annual Meeting, 7 March 2009
|
|
The South Carolina Historical Association invites proposals for papers to be presented at its next annual meeting, which will take place on 7 March 2009 in Spartanburg at the University of South Carolina Upstate. Although the organizers welcome papers about the Palmetto State and the larger American past, they encourage topics about other parts of the world to include European, African, Middle Eastern, Classical, and Asian from Ancient to Modern times. Presentations are limited to twenty minutes. Papers presented are eligible-after undergoing peer review-for publication in the Association's journal Proceedings. All participants must be members of the SCHA. (See http://www.palmettohistory.org/scha/scha.htm for details about joining.) Send proposals by mail to Dr. Andrew H. Myers, Department of History, Political Science, Philosophy, and American Studies (HPPA), USC Upstate, Spartanburg, SC 29303 or electronically to amyers@uscupstate.edu. Deadline for proposals is 24 November. Deadline for submitting papers to session chairs is 31 January.
