Saul Bellow Society: Call for Papers for ALA Conference, May 21-24, 2009

The Saul Bellow Society plans to sponsor two sessions (an open panel and a roundtable discussion) at the American Literature Association Conference, May 21-24, 2009, in Boston
1. For the panel, papers are welcome on any aspect of Saul Bellow's life and work. Send abstracts or completed papers to Allan Chavkin at Chavkin@txstate.edu
2. If you are interesting in participating in a roundtable discussion on Saul Bellow and his connections with other writers, submit abstracts to Allan Chavkin at Chavkin@txstate.edu — topics for the roundtable might include writers who influenced Bellow and writers influenced by Bellow as well as other kinds of relationships with writers.
The deadline for submission to the panel and the roundtable is December 1, 2008. I will acknowledge receiving your abstract or paper within a day or two of receiving them. Those chosen for the panel and roundtable will be informed within a week of the deadline..
Conference Information: The American Literature Association's 20th annual conference will meet at the Westin Copley Place in Boston on 21-24 May 2009 (Thursday through Sunday of Memorial Day weekend).
