The underlying topic for the Conference will be the paths, parallels and intersections of Literature and Philosophy in all of Iris Murdoch’s fictional and non-fictional work. Papers on more specific links with individual writers, philosophers, thinkers and artists are also welcome. The Conference is open to scholars of multiple areas of knowledge.

Abstracts of 100 - 250 words should be e-mailed (as Microsoft Word attachment) to irismurdoch@letras.up.pt until December 31st 2008. Please indicate also name (and affiliation), email, title of your paper and possible technological requirements.
