The World Philosophy Day this year, which also marks the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, comes up on 20 November 2008. The theme for the international celebration is "Rights and Power". Different partners in countries from all regions of the world, namely universities, philosophy departments, institutes, schools, social organisations etc., are expected to organize local/national/regional events to mark the Day.
