The Southwest Historical Association cordially invites you to the Mile High City of Denver Colorado, in conjunction with the Southwestern Social Sciences Association, the oldest social science organization in the U.S. You may submit proposals for the 89th Annual Conference of panels, individual papers, roundtable sessions or to serve as Discussant and Chair for any area of history. Proposals are welcome from faculty, independent scholars, public historians and students. Students may specifically apply to present their work on Phi Alpha Theta panels only if they are members of the national Honors Society. Otherwise, they are requested to send their applications the Area Coordinator who specializes in his/her field, as listed below.
Please send a title, short abstract (for individual papers, for each paper on the proposed panel and for the roundtable sessions) and a brief C.V.including contact information to the appropriate Area Coordinator via regular or e-mail by November 14, 2008 to:
