Events on Saturday, 10/11, include a morning panel on "The Politics and Practicalities of Rice," featuring Raj Patel (author of Stuffed and Starved), Ross Koda (Koda Farms), Kenneth Lee (Lotus Foods) and Kent McKenzie (UC Rice Experiment Station); and an afternoon panel on "Meals, Meaning and Memory in Asian Diasporas," featuring Professors Martin Manalansan of the University of Illinois, Wendy Ho and Parama Roy of UC Davis, and Ashwini Wagle of San Jose State University.
On Sunday, 10/12, ACF will present an all-day symposium at the Ferry Building with top Asian food experts, authors, chefs, researchers, and artists including Madhur Jaffrey, Martin Yan, James Oseland, Olivia Wu, and Martin Manalansan.
