78th Annual Meeting

The Pennsylvania Historical Association invites proposals for individual papers, roundtable discussions, and special sessions for its annual meeting to be held at Widener University in Chester, Pennsylvania, October 22-24, 2009.

This meeting is open to scholars, researchers, educators, public historians and professionals who share an interest in the history of Pennsylvania and the mid-Atlantic region from the founding years to the present.

The focus of the 2009 meeting will be Mid-Atlantic Studies. The Mid-Atlantic includes all states bordering Pennslylvania as well as the District of Columbia, greater Appalachia, and the Upper Ohio River Valley.

Electronic submissions are preferred; if using regular mail, please send six copies. Propsals should include a title, descxription or panel or panel, brief CV of all participants, and full contact information.

Proposals will be accepted until January 15, 2009.
