Grandma had wireless? Well, not exactly, but during this visit presented by the Vintage Radio Museum and the Museum of Natural History, we will explore electronic communications of the past, from the 19th century to the 1970’s. Through the many hands-on interactive displays in the Vintage Radio Museum, including antique telegraphs, telephones, phonographs, radios, televisions, early computers, to name a few, we will re-live how people communicated information and culture before the advent of the internet! Participants can send their names in Morse Code, listen to records on a wind-up record player, tune in an 80-year old radio, and go into a re-created 1950’s broadcast studio and play with the sound effects. Adults and children ages 6 and above. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
