The conference theme for the American Studies of Texas meeting is "From Region to the World: The Importance of Place in American Studies." ASAT especially welcomes those papers that reflect the conference theme of the importance of place in American Studies, but papers dealing with any aspect of American Studies are welcome, as are proposals for creative readings. The organization will provide $50 travel stipend for graduate student presenters.
