Proposals are now being accepted for papers/presentations of approximately 20 minutes covering any aspect of Oklahoma Cultures: high culture, popular culture, and folk culture; past and present. Possible panels include but are not limited to:
-representations of Oklahoma in film/television/music
-sport cultures in Oklahoma
-works of Oklahoma artists
-Oklahoma music/musicians
-Oklahoma memorials
-rhetorics of Oklahoma politics
-languages/dialects in Oklahoma
We welcome scholars (including graduate students—Please see the organization’s website linked above for information about prizes awarded for best graduate student papers.)
