Many of us no longer enjoy the winter holidays, finding them to be too chaotic, too consumerist, too false, and simply, too much. Yet the winter holiday season is a wonderful time to explore our common humanity—to look for things we share with our families, neighbors, and communities. It can be a time to learn about and celebrate differences while becoming closer to others as unique human beings. The holidays can be a time to feel not stress and depression, but peace and joy.
Soul Purpose Day 2: “Peace Around the Holidays” offers an excellent opportunity for workshop leaders and vendors to showcase their ideas, products, services, as well as to interact with a diverse audience of individuals interested in exploring a more peaceful, healthier and socially conscious lifestyle. We are seeking workshop leaders who can offer sessions on topics including but not limited to:
· Fair trade consumption at the holidays
· Establishing new holiday traditions
· Peaceful parenting during the holidays
· Maintaining personal health and wellness during the holidays
· Stress management and relief strategies
· Eco-friendly travel
Workshops may be held in a large auditorium space (capacity +250), or in a smaller, more intimate setting (capacity 25). Rates for each are listed below.
Pricing for Workshop Leaders:
$50 (30 minute workshop in small room)
$75 (one hour workshop in small room)
$75 (30 minute workshop in large room)
Additionally, we are seeking vendors of theme-related products and services. Some tables are 8 feet long and are available in full or half sizes. Six foot long tables are available as well. Wall space and track lighting are also available for displaying artwork or photography. We encourage your creativity in submitting proposals to lead workshops, vend, or both!
