JICSS defines social studies broadly; articles on history, political science, economics, sociology, anthropology, cultural theory, etc. are welcome, but the council is especially interested in short articles (3000-5000 words) that incorporate these subjects into analyses of pedagogical practice (at all levels).

We also welcome articles that discuss the incorporation of professional research into the classroom.
