The Journal of the Illinois Council for the Social Studies (JICSS), a peer-reviewed journal published annually by the Illinois Council for the Social Studies, seeks articles for 2009.
JICSS defines social studies broadly; articles on history, political science, economics, sociology, anthropology, cultural theory, etc. are welcome, but the council is especially interested in short articles (3000-5000 words) that incorporate these subjects into analyses of pedagogical practice (at all levels).
We also welcome articles that discuss the incorporation of professional research into the classroom.
Electronic submissions should be in APA format, double-spaced, in Word format and sent to: firstname.lastname@example.org
