The Institute of Caribbean Studies, Univ. of Puerto Rico, announces the conference by Dr. Robert J. Mayer Arzuaga, professor of the Natural Sciences Department in UPR-Aguadilla. The conference is entitled ““¿Un mar Caribe sintético?: fuentes, impactos y soluciones al problema de la basura marina”. Dr. Manuel Valdés Pizzini, of the Social Sciences Department and the Interdisciplinary Center of Littoral Studies, UPR-Mayagüez.The activity will be held on Thursday, August 21, from 1:00 to 2:30p.m. in REB Rm 238, Faculty of the Social Sciences. This is the first of
CONFERENCIAS CARIBEÑAS 3 programme, organized by the Institute of Caribbean Studies to celebrate its 50th anniversary.
