The National African Religion Congress NARC World International (non-profit) is pleased to announce its 10th Annual Conference and Ceremony of Ceremonies Thurs 8/21-8/24/08. In celebration of the organization's ten years of accomplishments, the conference will be held at the Pennsylvania Convention Center (Center City) and Le Peristyle Haitian Sanctuary (Temple University area).
The conference theme is “Building a Better Future through African Spirituality” with an emphasis on “Building a Better Tomorrow through Youth of Today” “Chrismation – The formal rite of passage from childhood to adulthood”. On Sun 8/24/08 the focus will be on the Healing properties from the Earth with ancient herbs for healing the mind, body and spirit. Some of the events include Drum Blessing of the Day, Building a Better Tomorrow through the Youth of Today, A Tribute to Chief Babalawo Bisiriyu Adeyela Adelekan, Continuing Education: Traditional Alternative Medicine, Bridging the Gap: A dialogue between law enforcement/government officials and the clergy of African based religion
