Seeking third presenter for a 2009 SHA panel on Race, Conservatism, and the Republican Party in the Postwar South. One paper will discuss the Republican backgrounds and patronage dimensions of Eisenhower's judicial appointments. The second will examine the political dimensions of busing in Houston during the late 1960s and early 1970s.
