The International Margaret Cavendish Society will meet June 18-21, 2009 at Oregon State University, Corvallis, Oregon. The theme of the conference is Margaret Cavendish (1623-1673) and Nature. Stephen Clucas, Birkbeck College, University of London will be the keynote speaker. The Society welcomes abstracts of no more than 300 words on the topic of the conference or related topics by November 1, 2008. The Society is interdisciplinary and includes scholars from English Literature, History, Drama, Women's Studies, Poetry and the History of Science.
