Alternative Ethics
A session sponsored by the Society for Critical Exchange
Northeast Modern Language Association Convention
Boston, Mass., Feb. 26 – March 1, 2008
Papers examining the varieties, or proliferation, or possibility of ethics, perhaps considering a post-Darwinian view of the human, or culture or nature, perhaps a post-human, post-categorical, maybe Queer perspective, etc.
Abstracts for 20-minute presentations due 15 Sept. 2008, preferably by e-mail.
Besides the abstract, a proposal must include the following:
Name and Affiliation
Email address
Postal address
Telephone number
A/V requirements (or an indication that no A/V will be required)
The complete call for papers for the 2008 convention is posted on the NeMLA website. Interested participants may submit abstracts to more than one NeMLA panel; however, panelists can only present one paper. Convention participants may present at a paper session panel and also present at a creative session or participate in a roundtable.
