The aim of this conference is to examine the question of leadership in Africa and the African Diaspora in relationship to peace education, nonviolence, health education, and sustainable development. Hence, papers should reflect the theme and outline past and present solution centered research (for example, can at least one percent of government military budgets be devoted to peace education) and implementation schemes designed to advance peace, good health, and nonviolence in Africa.
To participate, send a 150-250 word single spaced abstract to Itibari M. Zulu at jpanafrican@yahoo.com by September 24, 2008. Full papers will be accepted from October 1, 2008 until December 26, 2008 [all final papers should not exceed twenty 8.5 x 11 pages]. Above your abstract, include your name, contact points, and your professional affiliation. Selected abstracts/papers will be considered for publication.
