"Chinese Southern Diaspora Studies", a new multidiscipinary, bilingual annual e-journal, announces that the theme for its third issue, in 2009, is Chinese life and experience in Island Southeast Asia, past and present. The editors, Dr Nola Cooke (English) and Dr Li Tana (Mandarin), invite interested scholars working in this broad field to submit either original research articles (6000-14,000 words,fully refereed) or shorter, unrefereed data papers/research notes (4500 words) on any aspect of their research. Original articles should arrive no later than the end of March 2009, but data papers/research notes will be accepted until the end of June, for publication by October 2009.
