The Victoria Press invites essays on the subject of Latino Muslims in the United States and abroad for inclusion in an anthology scheduled for release in the summer of 2009.
Essays may address a variety of issues, including cultural encounters/conflicts, religious transformations, taking of ethnic Muslim names and myriad related issues. Essays should be scholarly in nature and authors should hold a current professorial post in a related area of study; retired professors are also invited to submit esssays.
Essay length: 2,500-4,000 words. Endnotes required / Footnoted essays not accepted. Submission via email attachment (PDF, Word, .rtf). APA style preferred (MLA and Chicago accepted). Publication ready essays only / No essay proposals or rough drafts accepted. Authors required to submit C.V. with essay. Deadline: Oct. 31, 2008. Notification by Dec. 1, 2008.
