Beyond _Green Gables_
2008 marks the 100th anniversary of the publication of Anne of Green Gables. Montgomery’s most famous novel is currently the focus of much attention, but her works number many more. This panel seeks critical papers on other works by Montgomery, including her Journals; all critical approaches are welcome. Topics might include the presentation of Anne in subsequent books; comparative studies to American and British literature; non-series works, such as The Blue Castle; and others. Proposals should indicate awareness of current scholarship. Please send queries and 1-2 pages abstracts, with a brief biography, to Rita Bode (email: rbode@trentu.ca) by September 15, 2008.
